Lichtenstein castle is an ancient castle in Germany. It’s beauty is at it’s height in during snow fall. I will take you to the beautiful journey.

History

Lichtenstein Castle (German – Schloss Lichtenstein) is a privately-owned Gothic Revivalcastle located in the Swabian Jura of southern Germany. It was designed by Carl Alexander Heideloff and its name means “shining stone” or “bright stone”. The castle overlooks the Echaz valley near Honau, Reutlingen in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The modern castle was inspired by the novel Lichtenstein (1826) by Wilhelm Hauff and was built in 1840–1842. The ruins of an older medieval castle are a few hundred meters away.

The Journey

I was on my visit to Germany regarding a project there. When I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful castle in snowfall. All credit goes to my boss & friend. He was kind enough to keep track when snow falls in the hill top, where Lichtenstein Castle is located. Our office is situated in the Lichtenstein valley in the foot hill of the castle. Its about 10KM drive from our office to the castle. The beauty of the castle during the slow fall speaks by itself.
